Help us plant 51,000 fruit trees in India

Earth Day Network
This week and in the weeks ahead, 51,000 fruit trees and fruit tree saplings will be planted around Lalitpur, India, with our partners at Sustainable Green Initiative, The fruit trees will provide food and income to some of the poorest and drought prone villages of the region. With education and on-going support, the fruit trees will be nurtured by 120 farmer families.
The trees will also help rebuild the natural environment after the severe drought affected region. This project is seeking additional funds to continue to address local environmental and economic challenges through fruit tree planting during the rest of 2017 and 2018.
Planting trees is one of the BEST WAYS to fight climate change.
Our planet is currently losing over 15 billion trees each year—that’s 56 acres of forest every minute! Earth Day Network’s Canopy Project plants trees to benefit local communities, increase habitat for species, and combat climate change.
